Student of the Month – Vihaan M

Our Student of the Month (May 2022) is Vihaan M., who takes Drum lessons at Bach to Rock Sandy Plains. Read the Q&As below to find out more about him! 

Q: What inspired you to play music?  

A: I attended a toddler music class where I tried to play all instruments. I loved the sound of drums and since then wanted to learn how to play and sing! 

Q: What is your favorite style of music?  

A: Pop Rock!! 

Q: Who is your favorite artist and why?  

A: Dan Reynolds (lead singer of Imagine Dragons) I just love to sing most of their songs. 

Q: What is your favorite song to play?  

A: Believer by Imagine Dragons 

Q: What are you learning right now in your lessons?  

A: On drums, I am learning bouncing of sticks and as main focus and I'm learning to play "Larger than life" by The Backstreet Boys. For voice, I am learning about skips and steps. 

Q: What are you most looking forward to learning/performing?  

A: I would love to perform what I’m currently learning in my classes 

Q: What’s your favorite thing about Bach to Rock?  

A: They let us play whatever song we want 🙂 

Q: What is your favorite thing about your teacher?  

A: My favorite thing about Mr. Jim is that he is very encouraging. Mr. Leonard is kind and funny! 

Q: What do you enjoy doing when you’re not playing music?  

A: Playing basketball
